Our first project for Keune was also a massive assignment: the Keune Brand Book, a bottom-line communication tool for the brand. This book was specially designed for all high-end hair salons in 85 countries. We took care of the entire printing process of the Brand Book. This set the standard for our cooperation: that of high quality.

Keune always strives for the highest quality, but at the same time missed the knowledge of the print market to give the printer enough direction to achieve this quality. They were looking for a partner who could guide them through the entire process, from concept to final product: EMP Brandkeepers.
Our approach was thorough and customer-focused. The Brand Book had already been fully designed before we became involved. An online file isn’t always good for print due to there being many technical challenges. At the beginning of our collaboration, Keune asked us the question: “How would you guys handle this?” Well, like this!
Step 1 – budget and specifications
We drew up a budget based on Keune’s specifications. This served as a starting point.
Step 2 – technical guidance
We advised on the options and necessary adaptations: from material choices to printing techniques.
Step 3 – translation and DTP
We checked the English version and played a crucial role in translating it into other languages.
Step 4 – printing process
We selected the best printing company and monitored quality. This ensured Keune’s high quality standard.
Step 5 – binding process
Keune chose a special binding method whereby the spine of the book is completely open, giving it a unique and high-quality finish.
Keune described it as the “most beautiful book” they have made so far.
